Jason Zhang
- I recently graduated from Saint Ignatius High School and will be attending Washington University in St. Louis in the fall of 2020 with plans for medical school. I currently head a flight simulator development group that creates airports such as Cleveland Hopkins International Airport with the help of a team composed of fellow developers, aviation enthusiasts, and airport employees.
- During my time as an intern at LPA, I learned about just how important the port authority is for the city of Lorain and its citizens. For example, it is directly involved in the rebirth of Lorain through programs such as PACE in addition to promoting local tourism. These are essential for the economy and form a sense of pride around the many treasures that Lorain has to offer.
- One of my favorite memories at LPA was working together with Rachel on a photo shoot project for Lil the goose dog. Photography is a hobby of mine so getting the opportunity to use it was exciting. Further, it was a joy to work with Lil as she has such a fun personality. Equally important was the fact that both Rachel and I were able to explore all of the LPA properties and admire their beauty with our own eyes and through the lens of a camera.
Jimmy Zhou
- I am currently the treasurer for the APAPA Youth Leadership Committee, a speech and debate competitor, a varsity tennis player, and head of the chess club. From my time at the LPA, I learned how a business works and how to work as a team. I also learned a lot about what the port authority does and how they help the community. It was an amazing experience that let me learn valuable lessons about having a job. My favorite memory was going on the boat tour with the Marine Patrol. They taught me a lot about the history of the city and all the things going on like new developments and constructions.
